September is fast approaching and that means it’s almost time for Whistler trips! :-)  Last year I went once with The Boys and another time for a conference for ‘work’.  This year, I’ll be going for three days with Meg and I’ll still have the Conference to look forward to.

I booked a hotel at the Sundial Boutique Hotel in Whistler Village.  I got room 801 which gives us a private patio and a private outdoor hot tub.  I’ve NEVER been at a place which offered such unique amenities so I’m pretty excited about it.

We’ll also be trying some bungee jumping.  I’ve always been a bit of a pussy when it comes to heights, and I’ve never been in a true free fall before.  This is certainly gonna be a weekend to remember.

As for the Conference, that’ll be from the 16th to the 19th.  I dunno what hotel we’ll be staying at, but I do know that there’s gonne be free food, free drinks, free cover, free tylenol, and all that will be done with some sort of Cow Boy theme to it.

BRING ON SEPTEMBER!!!! :-D

So I got an iPhone! :-) Meg’s old phone decided it didn’t like watermelon juice and I got my bonus payout so the next day I bought iPhones for the both of us. We’ll be going to the Pacific Centre apple store later to look at cases for her phone.

I love this thing! All the little apps are sweet and I’m actually typing this using the wordpress app while waiting in front of Meg’s house. This thing is way too cool :-D

So I’m not sure exactly what a heart murmur is.  I suppose I could just go on wikipedia to find out, but I’m a little lazy for that.  Anyways, I’ve been having some problems where, periodically, my heart will skip a beat or beat too much - I’m not sure exactly which of those things it’s doing.  It causes some slight discomfort and can be a little worrying.

Today my heart started to beat really fast.  From what I calculated, it went from 70bpm > 140 bpm > 70 bpm.  Right before it went back down to 70 bpm, I could barely feel my heart at all.

I dunno what is causing it, but it has been happening for a long time.  Since I’ve not suffered any sort of injury, nor have I heard of any heart problems during my numerous physicals, I’m relatively unconcerned with it.

It does, however, stick in the back of my mind all the time.  Who knows if they are just the little tremors preceeding a big quake.

So today was an interesting day.  It was my first day at the Tsawwassen branch.

I got up at 530am.  I took a shower and ate, then left the house at 620a.  I had to take two buses to get to my branch and it took almost an hour and a half to get there.  I got there at 815a and I did next to nothing until about 345p, at which point I talked to someone about an RESP withdrawal, then I talked to someone else about a mutual fund redemption.

On my way home (which took another hour and a half) I got sick on the bus and was paralyzed by my nausea.

I’m glad I didn’t sign up for the annual bus pass cuz I’d hate to waste that much money on something I would regret.  I plan on driving to work tomorrow since there’s a dinner at The Keg immediately afterwards.  This’ll give me a chance to compare the two back-to-back, but it doesn’t hold out much hope for transit.  I was hoping that it wouldn’t be that bad, but it was.  If I get sick everyday because of transit, I will shoot myself.

So I did it.  I bought a bus pass for the first time in three years.

I really didn’t want to have to do this, but it was kinda something that was forced by logic.  I really don’t want to get up each morning at 545am to leave the house at 620am so I can get to work by 830am.  The thing is, I’d much rather sit on a bus for 2.5 hours a day than spend the money required for gas to get to Tsawwassen and back.

In preparation for it, I also bought a radio remote for my iPod so I can listen to The Jeff O’Neil Show on The Fox, as well as being able to listen to my regular music.  I also bought a copy of The Count of Monte Cristo, after which I’ll probably buy The Grapes of Wrath.  I’m probably gonna pick up another issue of EVO Car Mag, Road & Track, or Car and Driver just to have a variety of reading material.

It’s gonna be a big change next week having to wake up so damn early.  Let’s hope I can keep up with it!
